One Small Step is a story about a young girl realizing her dream of wanting to be an astronaut and having her father kickstart the dream. The two are very upbeat, and despite using no words, you can tell the family loves each other very much. The lady goes into college as a study and the two still live together. She goes through a lot of problems with failure, and seems to be stressed over college. Slowly but surely, the two fall apart.

I love the mood and how the music conveys such an upbeat tone, but eventually falls apart. The middle of this is extremely depressing. The dad dies, and the whole color palette drops to depressing grays and storms. Still no text, and the girl's entire dream fades as her positive influence is gone.

Despite this, she still pushes forward after seeing some pictures of her dad and acquires the dream she wanted.

I think the human art style is a bit cute, yet expressive. You can still feel when anyone experiences a type of emotion. So far this has to be one of my favorites in terms of character design and an overall mood.
