I decided to write my weekly response on the Oscar-shortlisted stop-motion short film "Lost & Found." I absolutely loved this short film, both from an animation perspective and a storytelling perspective. The craftsmanship looks like it must have taken FOREVER to produce -- all of the camerawork is incredibly smooth, and the props and characters all look extremely well constructed. The story is very creative as well -- it's about a crocheted fox who gets trapped in a pool and needs to be rescued by its dinosaur friend. However, the dinosaur's stitching gets caught in a nail on the way down, so his body unravels more and more with each step he takes to try and save the fox. Eventually, the fox decides to trap the dinosaur in the other room away from him, in order to keep the dinosaur from unravelling completely. It was a very creative story that was very well made, and i really enjoyed it!!
