I watched the printmaking animation by Casey Babb. It was explained that the artist wanted to experiment and explore traditional methods for animation. I thought that this is unique as so many people are trying to advance animation instead of going to the basics. Even through his animations were short they either told a story or completed a loop. Like the first one with the story from Japanese culture, it’s widely known in many schools for a ghost to be haunting the toilets. The second one while not having a clear story it had colors, clean lines and movement that was repeated. The jumping made it not strange to watch over and over.
My favorite was the last one as the head wrapped around with so much detail in a traditional sense and still was so clean and guild.
