WEEK_4_RESPONSE_SIMONS

 I am responding to the "Chemicals" music video this week. In short, I really enjoyed it. Sometimes collage animations can feel disjointed and too random, but this one had a nice cohesive look while maintaining the spontaneity of a collage. The faces and other figures were often composed of different parts, but they felt joined together despite the mismatching sources. Also, motion was done well. The clip of the monkey swinging was noticeably smooth, and I forgot I was watching a collage for a few seconds. In general, I think this is the best way to go about collage animation. Instead of scrolling stiff images with minimal movement, this video is a great use of fluid motion with collages.
