Week 6 _Response_Gaines

 

    Father and Daughter does a fantastic job with its usage of still frames that mix very well with the moving layered frames. The backgrounds utilize a very pretty monochromatic watercolor wash that act well to portray seasons and moods effectively. I enjoyed the traditional style of animation where the character are inked and layered on top of the scenes, creating a very nice final composition. From a narrative standpoint, I enjoyed the story and it's underlying message to not waste your life focused on something that happened in the past and to move on living it to the fullest.
