Milt Kahl was born in California during 1909 and was later in life known as one of Disney's "Nine Old Men". Before he went to Disney he left high school to follow his dream of doing art, instead of high school he went to local art schools was learning under artists in the area. As his craft grew he took on jobs within the industry and gain even more experience with his graphic profession. However, after those jobs had ended he wanted to make his own art business, sadly it never took off and soon failed. When looking for his next job he came across Disney's "Three Little Pigs" and decided to take on animation. Kahl started working with the ideas and techniques of  Bill Peet and Ken Anderson and then refined them as he worked in the company. Soon creating a distinctive style that is seen throughout the older Disney films; Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, The Sword and The Stone, etc.  He strict with himself in the work place and wanted each drawing and scene to be the best that it could be, as it was stories from his time came out that he would sit at his desk and wait for the right moment to draw. Or pull out already done drawings. One story even claims that he would take drawings that he deems bad and go to his office to shot them. Because of his dedication to his work there leaps for animation with his hand drawn head movement scenes usually called the head swaggle. Apparently when everything was still being hand drawn it was hard to both animate the mouth talking and move the head at the same time. Kahl however, loved doing this in his work. He also was a big fan of  not reusing old scenes from other movies always creating new and better work.
