Born: September 24, 1957 in Kalispell, Montana, USA

Brad Bird is an animator, director, and actor that has been in dozens of films, including making ones such as the Incredibles and Ratatouille. These two in particular won Oscars in their respective years, and his perspective on making movies is very unique. He mentions that movies are like salad, in that every form of them has different relations that when together, create an unbelievably fluid product. He mentions the work of voice actors, artists drawing on the scene, the visual components that go into slow intense scenes or faster ones.
In this image, Brad Bird directed Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Using different movie effects such as green screens and photography, the illusion of intensity is given during a rescue scene. Bird also mentions how filmmaker driven films are more unique for how they give opportunities to new directors that show promise, rather than companies like Disney that tend to put spotlight on management from higher ups.

Brad Bird is moreso someone that oversees an entire movie's production (as a director would), but having experience in the field, he usually helps animators or writers to go down a path that would end up bringing fans emotional moments or action based on the title. In the Incredibles, he uses a mix of a family with superhero powers to create lighthearted fun with the children, but keep a serious tone when danger in the movie arises.

Other Works: The Iron Giant, The Essentials, Other Disney Animations such as The Black Cauldron, The Fox and the Hound. Mostly works as a Senior Creative Team member at Pixar Studios.
