Week 3_Response_Rae Keller

     The video I decided to review is the Mr. Sandman animation. There were aspects of it that I enjoyed, like the transitions between shots and the simplicity of each one -- I also liked the simple black background throughout, as it adds to the "collage" feel and plays with the illusion of depth into space. However, I wasn't really a fan of how long some transitions seemed to take, especially those at the very beginning and end of the video. It threw off the rhythm of the rest of the animation and made it not conform to that of the song, and at points they just felt longer than necessary, which I didn't like as much. Overall, I thought it was a simple and creative piece, but there are aspects of it that could be worked on.
